INTRODUCTION

First of all, what is badminton?, well, badminton is a racquet sport, in which two opposing players (singles) or pairs (doubles) compete. The players are situated in opposites halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net.

Why is it called "badminton"? Because it was first played in Badminton, the country estate of the dukes of Beaufort, England.

What are the origins of badminton? The origins (2000 years ago) of the sport are from the ancient Greece, China, and India. Badminton is related to the old children’s game battledore and shuttlecock. Badminton is derived directly from poona, which was played by British army officers in India in the 1860s.

In this blog, we will compare badminton with other racquet sports, such us tennis or padel, we will also write some curiosities of badminton and, of course, we'll write about the relation between badminton and force. Are you ready?
